Getting started riding?
Are you brand new to riding? This is the program for you. We start with ground lessons and thoroughly teach you how to catch, groom, tack up, lead, and manage your horse.
Great! We can get you situated with one of our school horses that fit your riding ability. We focus on getting super solid basics as we move through each new thing. Our goal is to help you navigate riding with confidence and knowledge not necessarily quickly creating a long list of accomplishments. We value safety, our horses happiness, and our investment in your knowledge base.
Megan loves teaching! She truly believes a trainer and coach is an important part of the equation that makes a rider and horse successful. Her favorite moments are those where her students overcome something. Those light bulb moments when what they have been struggling with finally clicks.

As a trainer she is committed to being fully present in that role. Encouraging and pushing her students, using communication that makes sense to each rider. It is important to her that her students understand the concept behind each aim so that they can apply this to their riding and not just be able to complete that movement. She believes that if riders understand the concepts, growth will occur more quickly and effectively.

She carefully crafts her lessons to work toward achieving the riders goals. She knows what it takes to have a successful show season and provides her students with the tools they need.

There are available openings for lessons on both school horses and on your own horse. She would be happy to discuss with you what option would work best for you and your horse.
